TR3OC Member Mick Hemmings, and staunch supporter of all the Beezumph Rallies, celebrates
in 2004 both his 60th birthday and 30th year since opening his Classic Motorcycle business
in Northampton dealing in Norton and Triumph twins. He started racing in June 1970 on his
Commando Production Racer; first race was MCC Meeting Silverstone.
Mick went on to win numerous races and championships on this machine. He also raced the
Robertson Triple (a Rob North Triumph) and won the 'Classic of the Year' three times, in 1982,
1983 and 1985.
The Rob North was also raced in endurance events at Zandvort, Nurburgring, Le Mans, and the
Bol d'or 24-hour successfully before moving on to a P&M Suzuki 1000 in the same events.

Mick went on to own the ex-Percy Tait works Rob North Triple which later passed on to the
National Motorcycle Museum.
After acquiring and rebuilding his genuine McIntyre G50 Matchless, Mike went on to compete in the
Manx Grand Prix six times, winning the Newcomers Award, Team Award and three Silver Replicas, with
a best-lap of 98mph. He took the 'McIntyre' to the first Goodwood Revival meeting in 1998 and won
the 'Lennox Trophy' beating Barry Sheene. He repeated that win over Barry in 2000 too.
