Beezumph 17: Latest News.
Rally Tickets are selling very well and as they say in the shops, when they’re gone, that’s it!
There are only a limited number of tickets on sale.
Obviously this year with the reunion of the 1971 Match Race teams as a theme the headline guests
are already well known, however we have unfortunately lost the services of one of our American
team members. Jim Rice has informed us that the dates for this B17 are clashing with his son’s
summer commitments and he obviously has to give priority to his family. Whilst it is a great
shame that Jim won’t be able to make it to Cadwell this year it has been pointed out to him
that we won’t be happy until he comes at least once, we hope to see him at a future Beezumph!

Kim Spencer the TR3OC Merchandise Sec. is putting together a collection of B17 merchandise,
there will be a significantly wider choice than last year and it will be worth buying. Your
club gear is always good quality clothing and this year will be no exception. If you think
that whilst wearing some quality kit you are also spreading the word amongst the less fortunate
who are not club members. The merchandise is such a bargain buy you would be daft not to go
home with armfull’s of the stuff!

Itinerary: Friday morning, after the noise testing and the safety checking, the track
sessions will follow the usual routine, with the sessions lasting 20 minutes, there will be the
one Entry Level class at 10am and one Sidecar class just before lunch at 1pm.
Towards the end of the morning sessions the American and British team members will gather near
the club house, as soon as the last track session has finished there will be a line-up, with
bikes, for everyone to have the chance for a photo.Several of the Match Race team members
will be riding on circuit, and there will be one session that will start with a display by
those riders before the session continues as normal.

In the afternoon a signing session by our honorary guests will take place outside the tea and
coffee marquee up in the paddock, this will give everyone the opportunity to meet the guests,
and take along something to be autographed. (the club merchandise tent will be in close proximity!),
this will last for around one hour.
In the evening at 7.30pm there will be a talk with questions and answers in the big Marquee,
this will be hosted by Steve Rothera and Mick Duckworth, and will bring together the members
of both the American and British teams for what should prove to be a unique occasion.
Saturday morning and lunch time will follow the same timings as Friday, but at 2.30pm in the
Big Marquee, Craig Vetter will give a presentation, this will be different to the previous
time Craig came to Beezumph, it will last around an hour. At 4.00pm there will again be a
signing session outside the Tea and Coffee tent, (don’t forget the merchandise), which this
time will have a backdrop of a Hurricane line-up.
The track sessions will finish at 5.00pm to be followed by the Bike Line-up outside the Big
Marquee, this will be followed by prize giving and presentation of trophies. The Hog Roast
will commence at 7.30pm to be followed by the band and refreshments (bar).

I trust you will all agree that in addition to the normal track sessions and fantastic
array of bikes on show this should make for an interesting and fun couple of days.
Tickets will have to be produced to gain entry to the Friday and Saturday nights’ entertainment
in the main marquee, which, as you can see from the itinerary, you WILL want to see.
Please be aware that if you do not have a Rally ticket, you will not have access to the big
Marquee on Friday or Saturday Night!
