This year the TR3OC have decided to have an American theme for B17.
In addition to the strong support that our Honorary members and invited guests
have traditionally given us, we are pleased to announce that we have invited
the American 1971 Trans-Atlantic Match Race team to come to Cadwell,
for a re-union with the British team. All the riders in '71 competed on Rob North triples.
The Club has had an enthusiastic response. Don Emde, David Aldana, Gene Romero
and Don Castro have all agreed to attend. Unfortunately, Jim Rice cannot now attend.
With there being such an American influence this year we have decided to allow pre 1983
American machines on track on Saturday, normally this is reserved for British machines
manufactured before 1983. This applies only to American bikes and not European and is
for this year only!

Plans for B17 are moving along at a fair pace with many of the details yet to be sorted,
but with the main elements in place for what is shaping up to be an excellent event.
B17 has been featured in the classic bike magazines in the UK and abroad and press coverage
will hopefully continue along a similar vein. The B17 flyers seem to be doing the trick as
well, with enquiries coming in from Switzerland, France Belgium, Scandinavia and New
Zealand, as well of course from all over the UK.
Ticket sales spread across all classes are ahead of the norm for this stage and track
places are going very quickly, over half are already gone (at the time of writing
they have only been on sale for three weeks), although the sidecars are lagging a little.
Rally Tickets are selling very quickly, much faster than normal at this point, these are
limited in number (due to the size of the marquee).
