Triumph Trident Production Racer
1970 Bol D'or Winner
One of the original three factory-built Production Race specification T150 Tridents,
which will be making a very welcome appearance at Beezumph 2007, is the "Works number 3" machine.
Ridden to victory in the 1970 Bol D'or event, held at the Montlhery circuit, France, by
Beezumph 2007 guest Tom Dickie (in partnership with Paul Smart), this machine is now in the
ownership of the National Motorcycle Museum.

Constructed to comply with the then current "Production racing rules and regulations" during
the winter of 1969 / 70, it competed in numerous events, famously winning the Bol D'or in 1970,
and subsequently winning the following year as well!
After an illustrious works production
racing career, it was eventually sold to Triumph race shop mechanic Fred Swift.
The original engine went on to be used in Tony Jeffries 1972 'North framed Formula 750 machine.
